1st PLACE - Cretaceous Camp Tours
Scott (aged 37 from the US) won the contest with his Jurrasic entry. John Wardley said "An imaginative queue building provides the start to a brilliant ride. The surprise beginning with an unexpected mini lift hill leads into a well-themed ride which uses the landscape and topography well. It has a baffling layout which will provide the rider with many surprises."
2nd PLACE - Silverback
Ben (aged 29 from the US) took second place with a complex twist of track. John Wardley said "The layout and profile is very clever, with parallel tracks giving the impression of a racer. If it were ever actually built on a real park, it would look stunning, as well as being a real thriller to ride."
3rd PLACE - Invasion
Adam (aged 14 from the US) received the following comment from John Wardley said "The layout is fun, and there is good interaction between the queue and the ride. The unusual layout makes for an interesting entrance to the ride."
RUNNER-UP - Poison Kandy
Gonchar (aged 26 from the US) created a rolling, twisting coaster and used trees to great effect to stop it from feeling too bare.
RUNNER-UP - Extinction
David (aged 14 from the UK) built a very complex spread of twists and turns. A nice spaghetti of steel track and wooden pathway.
RUNNER-UP - Gold Miner
Big Air (aged 15 from the US) designed a complex coaster in a small space. The interlacing of pathways and bridges adds to the effect.
To view the winning entries in full you will need to download the saved games so you can see all the elements of the ride like theming, ground level, etc. which effect the excitement rating.
The track file does not contain external elements like theming so the excitement rating will not be the same compared to when the ride was judged as a winning entry.
You will need the full version of RollerCoaster Tycoon with the "Corkscrew Follies" / "Added Attractions" add-on product to view these.
